The duration of intellectual property rights varies widely in Cambodia, from a minimum of five years for industrial designs, to potentially indefinitely for trademarks and geographical indications.
To summarize and compare the durations, we have compiled the following timelines. With some exceptions, protection generally begins with the filing of the application, even though it may take several months to years for the Registrar to examine and grant the rights.
