Cambodia has officially launched its dedicated Geographical Indication (GI) database as part of the country’s new Digital IP Hub.
The platform is accessible at:
This marks a significant step forward in the modernization of Cambodia’s intellectual property administration, improving transparency, accessibility, and public awareness of protected origin-based products.

A New Section of the Digital IP Hub
The GI database is now integrated into Cambodia’s broader Digital IP Hub, creating a centralized and structured environment for accessing official IP records online. The platform allows users to review registered geographical indications and certain related marks in a clear, searchable interface.
This development aligns with Cambodia’s continued efforts to strengthen its IP infrastructure and support rural producers whose products benefit from origin-based protection.
What Is Included in the Database?
The database currently lists:
Eight geographical indications registered by domestic applicants
Eleven collective marks
One certification mark
These entries relate primarily to Cambodian-origin products that benefit from collective protection linked to regional identity, traditional production methods, or specific quality characteristics.
It is important to note that while there are also a number of foreign geographical indications registered in Cambodia, these are not included in this section of the Digital IP Hub. Those registrations can instead be located through the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Global Brand Database:
As such, the new Cambodian platform currently focuses on domestic filings and related collective and certification marks.
Information Available for Each GI and Mark
For each listed GI or related mark, the website provides:
Basic filing information
Registration details
Access to the Official Product Specification
Background videos explaining the product, its origin, and its cultural or economic significance
