The United States Patent and Trademark Office has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with their Cambodian counterparts, under which American patents will serve to accelerate the examination of Cambodian patent applications. The MOU was agreed to on October 23, 2020, though the text of the agreement have yet to be released. It is expected to follow similar agreements with the Japanese and Korean patent offices.
